Pisa: Workshop on the defense against knives, in Pisa hosted by the WJJF PMA ITALIA
The WORLD JU-JITSU FEDERATION PMA ITALIA once again is active in self-defense education for security professionals (Police, Financial Police, etc.).
On February 24, 2008 at the Palestra Mithos in Pisa, the National Technical headquarters of the Federation, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Master and National Technical Commissioner Andrea Colombini (5th Dan) conducted a workshop focusing on defenses against bladed weapons. He demonstrated with which techniques one may immobilize the opponent on the ground after having disarmed him, thus rendering him harmless.

These are efficient, “street” sequences that, in keeping with the style of this martial arts school, focus on tangibility, as certain forms must be extremely practical and natural in order to maintain total calm in stressful situations.
Therefore, the master held this “continued learning course” for professionals following the style of Soke Clark’s WJJF, with which the PMA ITALIA is officially affiliated. He thus underlined the close organizational connection, not only technical, with the great English school of Ju-Jitsu.
This is a point of pride for all masters of the PMA ITALIA
and for the Federal President
Adriano Busà.
This was venture that fully reflected the will of the Federation to spread the knowledge of martial arts in professional environments.
These were the participants in the course: Giancarlo Ragusa, Stefano Santin, Giacomo Santin, Fabio Scarabelli, Gianmarco Sardi, Sergio Isoni, Filippo Marchini, Paolo Chianese, Cristiano Orlandini, Aldo Guidi, Alessandro Camarrone, Claudio Giannarelli, in addition, the students of Master Colombini: Betti Manuel, Romoli Luca (technical director from Pisa, Black Belt 3rd Dan, instructor at the Palestra Tycos in Cascina, Pisa), Cocco Roberto,Tenore Paolo, Dionisi Alessandro, Di sacco Cristian.
